Things Will Matter (Redux)
LONELY THE BRAVE have released a reworked, reimagined version of THINGS WILL MATTER and oh boy it is superb. Showcasing a variety of sounds and approaches nestled elegantly in twelve spellbinding tracks, the re-imaginations leave nothing to be desired. The fan favourite opener, which is also the title track, gives a trickling, delicate approach to what is surely going to once again reinvent the Cambridge quartet.
This mood and atmospheric vibe is ever-present and weaves through into the likes of Play Dead and Boxes – however, don’t be put off by thinking Lonely the Brave have put out a tame LP.
Dust and Bones and Strange Like I still pack a punch, although said punch is absorbed into a ghostly fizzle, they are still emphatically brilliant. The REDUX rework has massively Mogwai and The Perfect Circle-esque charms, but LTB have given an already well renowned album a new lease of life.
