For a band who, until now, had no actual ‘official’ releases, KID KAPICHI have done pretty well for themselves. Opening for big name rockers Slaves and Fat White Family as well as Rat Boy, the Hastings rockers are causing quite a scene right now with sell out shows and appreciation from the legendary Steve Lamacq.
With self-titled debut EP out at the end of the month, it is clear to see why the four piece have featured on NME Radar. Bulging with riffs and unapologetically monstrous guitar prowess, it is an EP that is certain to place the name Kid Kapichi on the lips of critics over the next year.
Lingering vocals and the ever-presence of shifting melodic harmonies add a soothing texture to otherwise explosive anthems. Waster especially packages everything the band are about and spits it straight back out in an unapologetic journey of sound.
