DIET CIG: SWEAR I’M GOOD AT THIS

New York duo, DIET CIG, have released their highly anticipated debut full length. SWEAR I’M GOOD AT THIS consists of a dozen tracks bulging with high energy drums and chaotic vocals which results in a well constructed yet raw first LP.

From Alex Luciano‘s questioning of “Ready?” in opener Sixteen, to the final note of final track Tummy Ache; Diet Cig take you on a raucous journey of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it DIY slacker punk. The lyrics are short and snappy, the guitar tones come when you’d expect them and the drums dictate the pace of the record.

Bath Bomb progresses with charming and delicate vocals before bursting into a punchy, arms flailing anthem packed. Leading straight into the instantly in-your-face Blob Zombie shows how Diet Cig have created an album with underlying precision in comparison to the raw and bare outer.

The best way to describe both the band and their debut album is gutsy instrumentation and aura with crisp, high pitched vocals working together to make a twelve-long accumulation of bigger and better things to come.

DIET CIG – SWEAR I’M GOOD AT THIS IS OUT FRIDAY 7 APRIL
