THE WEATHER
POND have released details of a brand new LP. THE WEATHER will allow the Perth four-piece to continue their quest on changing the face of psychedelia as they previously have with Man It Feels Like Space Again and Beard, Wives, Denim.
Released on May 5th, The Weather features an experimental pop and psych hybrid, which frontman Nicholas Allbrook describes as “A concept album.” 2015’s Man, It Feels Like Space Again featured fuzzy, distorted instrumentation which was considered Pond’s coming of age.
The Weather brings a polished, experimental style to the band, which is a technicolour blast of the weird and wonderful pathway we can always rely on Pond venturing down. You can preview the style of the new record in Sweep Me Off My Feet.
Nicholas Allbrook says: “At the end of all this confusion in our weird little white antipodean world, there’s the beach, purity and nature that brings us all together.” Make of that what you will, but remember the quote when you are vibing to The Weather.
The Weather is released 5th May via Marathon Artists and available to pre-order now.
