REMEMBERING…PASSED MUSICAL GREATS

Over the past few weeks we have lost some truly inspirational musicians.

This post is simply a remembrance to those that will live forever.

LEMMY

LEMMY (HAWKWIND & MOTÖRHEAD)

Undoubtedly one of the biggest rock tracks ever! Since hearing it on Skins a few years back this track has featured in several soundtracks.

JOHN BRADBURY

JOHN BRADBURY (THE SPECIALS)

Playing drums in The Specials was an important role that Bradbury made look easy. A Message To You Rudy is such a feel good track and hearing it endlessly at Mod nights around the north east allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the Ska legends.

DAVID BOWIE

DAVID BOWIE

On a personal level this is the saddest loss on the list. Bowie was/is a legend – allowing everyone to feel comfortable with who they are, he also produced some of the finest music across 26 albums. Heroes is my favourite song of all time and I hate the fact I will never hear it live.

GLENN FREY

GLENN FREY – EAGLES

This song was on the first Guitar Hero I ever played and since then the track has been unavoidable. Almost every taxi driver has it on – not a bad thing! Guitarist Frey will for sure be missed in the music community.

R.I.P x
